My Story Animation

In animation class we made videos from pictures we drew and created in photoshop. My animation was about a bowling pin that is trying to avoid getting hit my a bowling ball. Our animations had to have a walk cycle, a multi plane background, and a puppet pin tool. First, I started off by making a storyboard. In my storyboard I drew all of my scenes and was checked by Mr. Netterville. Then I started making my different scenes in photoshop. After making all of the scenes, I had to import them into After Effects. Once they were in After Effects, I had to order them and make a puppet pin tool. I had already made the walk cycle and multi plane background in Photoshop. Finally, after all of that was completed, I rendered my video out and turned it in.

During this project, I learned that importing and rearranging the slides in After Effects takes a long time. Because of this, I turned in my project a little late. If I could have done something different, I would have come in early before school and imported and rearranged so I could turn the project in on time. One thing I would do the same is only use photoshop because I think making things on the computer is easier for me than drawing it and scanning it onto my computer. From this project I took away that you have to use your time wisely. In the end I thought this was the most fun project we have done because we get so much freedom in the storyline and really get to use our imaginations
